Clutter Cleared T’s & C’s

Let’s work in perfect harmony

These are the terms and conditions upon which Clutter Cleared would be very happy to help you.

Best Advice

Advice is given in good faith and it is always your decision to accept guidance on whether or not to keep or part with particular possessions. We will always endeavour to identify items of high market value or rarity, however we will not advise on valuation matters for insurance purposes.

It is not always possible to anticipate exactly how long will be needed to declutter any particular area. Decluttering can be physically and emotionally demanding, some people find the process easier than others, not everybody can manage without a break.

Handling goods

When handling goods belonging to clients great care is always taken. Unfortunately, accidents may occur. Clutter Cleared shall not be liable for any losses or damage, howsoever caused. Please ensure you have sufficient insurance cover, which will adequately compensate you, as this is not covered by our public liability insurance.

Removal of items

Clutter Cleared is committed to caring for the environment and any items will be disposed of in an environmental manner, for example recycled, passed on freecycle or taken to local charity shops. It is expected that we take away some items within the hourly rate charged.  There maybe a fee for taking additional larger loads, this will be made clear on the day.

Please note that once items have been taken away they cannot be later retrieved.

PETS

Please let us know if there will be a dog or any other free roaming animals at the premises during our session. Whilst there have not yet been any mishaps, it shall always remain the client’s responsibility to ensure that pets are not able to leave the premises for example whilst the van is being loaded.

Confidentiality and Privacy

Clutter Cleared is a professional service and always respects the privacy and dignity of each client. Personal or business details that may be seen or shared in the course of our work are never divulged to third parties. Phil and Rebecca are both registered with the Information Commissioners Office as Data Handlers and fully comply with GDPR rulings on storing and managing your personal information.

If you are in agreement “before-and-after” photographs may be taken. These may sometimes be used for marketing purposes, however it will always be anonymously. Please tell us if you do not consent to this.

Shuuu! We don't tell anyone else your business

We don’t share your business!

Fees

During office hours on weekdays, it is £50 per hour for one declutterer, and £100 per hour for a team of two declutterers. There is a surcharge made for evenings and weekends. Decluttering and organising sessions are for a minimum of 3 hours in the Sheffield postcode area and 4 hours when further afield. It is often possible to roll on after a session with extra time if desired upon request, in this case, a top-up payment can be made on the same day.

There may be an additional mileage charge for work carried out beyond Sheffield at a rate of 45p per mile.

Payment

Invoices are payable immediately at the time of booking. For your convenience, Clutter Cleared accepts a bank transfer (Philip Gaughan account number 69670947 sort code 08-92-99 or Rebecca Chauhan account number 45823418 sort code 07-01-16), and cash (to the correct amount as no change is carried), or a cheque upon request.

Cancellation

We have a strict cancellation policy to honor the time and planning commitment given by both parties when a booking is made. Please do not email to cancel as this may not be picked up. Instead please call, or text. Since we do not have a shop front with passing trade, filling a slot after a cancellation can be very difficult. As a result, we require notice of 72 weekday hours before canceling our session. If less notice is given the full session fee will still be required. In the event of a cancellation, we shall always try to rearrange your session as quickly as is mutually practical.

Clutter Cleared upholds the right to reschedule or withdraw services at any point, this instant we will always let you know as soon as possible.

Polite REquest

Please note that the Clutter Cleared team is unable to work with clients who are smoking/using an electronic cigarette. To ensure that discussions about keeping or passing on belongings are made with a clear mind during our session a client mustn't be under the influence of alcohol or non-prescription drugs. In this instance, we shall have to re-schedule at the client’s cost.

If belongings for donation are not clean enough to pass on, we may suggest alternative disposal routes for you to arrange e.g. a kirbside collection via the council, for which they charge.
